PROJECT: Crenshaw/LAX Light-Rail Transit Project (Design-Build)

SCOPE: This project is an 8.5 mile double-track light rail project which extends services between the existing Metro Green Line, near the Aviation/LAX Station and the Exposition Line at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Exposition Boulevard. The total construction cost of this project is $2.06 billion dollars. Responsible to represent Metro to facilitate and perform the design oversight for all civil components of the three segments from the intersection of Imperial/Aviation to Crenshaw/48th Street. The corridor consists of 5 aerial guideway sections. One of these two aerial guideways is the new aerial structure over I-405 freeway which consists of 783’-7” long post-tensioned concrete box-girder structure. The project also include a cut & cover tunnel section, 3 stations along with 17 CPUC at-grade crossings. Under this Design Oversight/PMCM contract, also responsible for the review and coordinate with Metro Engineering staffs in responding to Request For Information (RFI) from the Designer and/or Contractor, review all submittals for contract compliance and represent Metro at many third party coordination meetings.
